## **MECAPS Quiz Contest 2024 - Bhopal**

### **Overview**

The **MECAPS Quiz Contest 2024** was an exciting and intellectually stimulating event organized by **MECAPS** under the esteemed guidance of **Dr. Zafar Hasan**, the Honorary Secretary of **MECAPS**. The contest aimed to challenge the intellectual prowess of students from across Bhopal, offering a platform to showcase their knowledge and critical thinking abilities.

Held on **3rd November 2024** at the prestigious **Ravindra Bhavan**, Bhopal, the quiz attracted **115 students** from over **40 schools** across the city. The event was graced by renowned personalities, including **Mr. Arun Gurtoo**, former Director General of Police (D.G.P. - RTD), M.P. Government, and **Dr. Sanawar Patel**, Chairman of the Waqf Board, M.P. Government, who added prestige and encouragement to the contest.

### **Registration & Procedure**

The registration for the **MECAPS Quiz Contest 2024** was conducted online, with roll numbers distributed to the **115 registered students**. These students were from diverse schools across Bhopal, showcasing the widespread enthusiasm for the event. The competition began with a **written exam**, after which the **top 16 students** were selected to participate in the live quiz contest.

### **Quiz Master - Mr. Aamir Mehboob**

The quiz was organized and hosted by the renowned **Mr. Aamir Mehboob**, whose engaging style and dynamic question formats brought both knowledge and fun to the event. His diverse and challenging questions covered a wide range of subjects, including:
- **General Knowledge**
- **Islamic Knowledge**
- **Mathematics**
- **Science**
- **Sports**

After a thrilling round of questions and intense competition, the **top 16 students** battled it out in the live quiz. **Team A**, consisting of **Ubaid ur Rehman Azhar**, **Ayesha Sheeraz**, **Sama Saud**, and **Rehan Khan**, emerged as the **first-place winners**. Their outstanding performance earned them **20,000 INR in cash prizes**, along with well-deserved recognition for their teamwork and knowledge.

On **3rd November 2024**, **MECAPS** hosted a prestigious **Scholarship Distribution Ceremony** at **Ravindra Bhavan**, Bhopal, alongside the **MECAPS Quiz Contest 2024**. Under the esteemed **guidance of Dr. Zafar Hasan**, the Honorary Secretary of **MECAPS**, this special event celebrated the achievements of deserving students who have demonstrated exceptional academic potential and a commitment to excellence.

### **Scholarship Distribution Process**

The scholarship distribution process was designed to ensure that each recipient was truly deserving of the honor. The journey began with **offline registrations**, where students from various schools and backgrounds expressed their interest in receiving financial assistance to further their education.

## **MECAPS Talent Search Exam 2024 - Bhopal**

### **Overview**

The **MECAPS Talent Search Exam 2024** was successfully conducted under the esteemed guidance of **Dr. Zafar Hasan**, the Honorary Secretary of **MECAPS**. The event aimed to identify and nurture exceptional talents across Bhopal, and we are proud to announce that **183 bright students** from over **50 schools** participated in this year’s exam.

Held on **20TH October 2024**, the exam was hosted at **Crescent Public School**, Bhopal, where participants competed in a challenging test covering **General Knowledge**, **Islamic Knowledge**, **Mathematics**, and **Science**.

### **Registration & Roll Numbers**

The online registration for the **MECAPS Talent Search Exam 2024** was completed with great enthusiasm. Once registered, **183 students** were assigned unique roll numbers, ensuring that each participant was well-prepared and ready to face the exam. These students represented a diverse range of schools across Bhopal, showcasing the widespread interest in this prestigious event.

### **Objective of the Exam**

The Talent Search Exam was conducted with the primary goal of recognizing and rewarding the intellectual abilities of young students in Bhopal. The exam paper, created by **Mr. Khalid Badar**, was meticulously designed to test a wide range of skills. It included:

- **Mathematics** to gauge logical thinking, problem-solving, and numerical aptitude.

Quiz Contest 2024

**Event Name:** Quiz Contest 2024
**Venue:** Ravindra Bhavan, Bhopal

**Eligibility:**
This competition is exclusively for Muslim students from class 9th to 12th.

**Schedule:**
- **Reporting Time:** 8:30 AM Sharp
- **Written Test:** 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM
- **Quiz Competition:** 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM

**Rules and Regulations:**

1. **Written Test:**
- Duration: 30 minutes
- Language: English
- Format: Objective-type questions based on General Knowledge and Current Affairs
- Topics: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Sports, Science, History, Literature, Islamic Trivia.
- **Note:** No Negative Marking.

2. **Participation:**
- The top 16 students from the written test will qualify for the final quiz rounds.
- There is no upper limit on the number of students participating from a school.
- Students must fill in all required information on the form. Incomplete forms will not be accepted.

3. **Conduct:**
- Participants must report on time and adhere to the formal dress code.
- The use of laptops, cell phones, tablets, earphones, and calculators is strictly prohibited.
- The Quiz Master and organizers have the final say in all matters, including disqualifications due to misconduct.

4. **Prizes:**
- Attractive cash prizes will be awarded to the top three winning teams:
- 1st Place: Rs. 8,000/-
- 2nd Place: Rs. 6,000/-
- 3rd Place: Rs. 4,000/-
- Mementos and certificates will also be awarded to all successful participants.

5. **Travel Expenses:**
- All travel expenses are to be borne by the participants themselves.

6. **Identity Card:**
- Please bring a Photo ID Card (Ex; Aadhar Card) to the Centre, participation will not be allowed without this.

7. **Roll Number:**

3. Students securing first three ranks will get Rs.8000/- Rs.6000/- & Rs.4000/- cash award
4. Rs.1000 for every qualifying for the final round

MECAPS STUDENTS OF THE YEAR (Junior)

Eligibility:

Muslims students of Bhopal of class IX can appear in the exam,

Awards:

1. “Title MECAPS students of the year”(Junior)
2. Iqbal Jafri Memorial silver Medal.
3. Students securing first three ranks will get Rs.6000/- Rs.5000/- & Rs.4000/- cash award
4. Rs.1000 for every qualifying for the final round

Content of exam will cover Physics, Math, Chemistry and Islamic subject in objective form.
Students from each category will be selected on the basis of the written exam.

We are pleased to announce that the merit list forms are now available for collection at the Mecaps Centre, Moti Masjid. The centre is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., students are encouraged to collect their forms as soon as possible.

**Eligibility:**
Students who have scored 85% or above in their 10th and 12th class exams from either the MP Board or CBSE Board are eligible to apply. Those who meet this criterion will be eligible to receive an award from Mecaps in recognition of their academic excellence.

**Required Documents:**
When collecting the form, students must submit photocopies of their 10th and 12th class marksheets from the MP Board or CBSE Board.

**Important Dates:**
Please note that the last date for submitting the completed form is **30th August**. Ensure that you submit your form on time to be considered for the award.
